PROOF THAT SOME SONGS NEVER FADE. LOVESONG BY THE CURE, REIMAGINED BY THIS CHICAGO WEDDING STRING QUARTET

A Magical Holiday Celebration at Glen View Club
Kicking off the holiday season in the most spectacular way is one of our favorite traditions, and it’s always an immense honor to celebrate with Mary & Brian at the beautiful Glen View Club in Golf, IL.
This year’s celebration was nothing short of enchanting. Guests were serenaded by the elegant sounds of the Artistrings string quartet during dinner, setting a warm and festive tone with a selection heavy on holiday classics. The evening took a breathtaking turn when world-class vocalists Rodrick Dixon and Alfreda Burke surprised everyone with stunning performances of “Little Drummer Boy” and “The Prayer”—a truly unforgettable way to begin the festivities.
As the night continued, the celebration shifted into high gear with lively holiday party dancing with a high energy live band, led by our very own Chris Sarlas Orchestra in a beautifully appointed tent designed by Blue Peak. Every detail was flawlessly executed, thanks to the expert planning and coordination of Frank Event Design, ensuring an evening filled with elegance, joy, and seamless transitions from dinner to dance.
This night was extra special as we also celebrated Mary & Brian’s 5th anniversary—a milestone for two of the sweetest people we know. Cheers to another year of love, laughter, and unforgettable holiday memories! 🥂🎶✨
Food For Thought pulled out all the stops, crafting a uniquely fun and memorable evening for Microsoft VIPs at Mae District, and we were thrilled to be part of it, filling the space with favorite tunes perfect for Chicago corporate event entertainment.
This dynamic Artistrings pop string duo alternated with 1920s jazz with an instrumental quartet from the Carol Sarlas Orchestra, keeping the energy high and guests tapping their toes all night long. From speakeasy jazz to classic rock and pop, the music had everyone hooked. The beautiful event space at Mae District was the perfect backdrop for such an unforgettable night!
So, is it possible for peaceful, perfect and wedding to coexist in one sentence as truth?
Your favorite Chicago wedding band is here with the news that you want to hear: Yes, you CAN have a peaceful, perfect wedding day. Just take some advice from our friend Kara.
She worked hard on her wedding plans. Top to bottom. She planned every single minute of her timeline, and had an exact image of her day with vision boards to prove it. After she spent a year organizing her ideas, she then went and searched for vendors to bring her vision to life.
Thing is, by the time she went to search for vendors, her wedding was two months away. And, she was on a tight budget.
Who isn’t on a budget? Am I right?
She had very specific ideas, and she wanted them done well, quickly, and cheap.
What she found was that she could only find two of those qualities with any given vendor.
Done well and quick was not cheap.
Done quick and cheap would not be done well.
Done cheap and well would not be done quick.
And, learning this lesson made Kara anything but peaceful. Her advice is this: if you’re working with a limited budget, plan ahead and give yourself WAY more time than you think you’ll need, so that you have the best shot at finding vendors who fit your vision.
Then, you’ll be peaceful.
And when you’re peaceful, you’re right there ready for that perfect wedding day.
