Chicago Wedding Band Performed for Michele & Adam’s Bash at JW Marriott

When a professional DJ chooses your band to play for his wedding, it’s an honor. What can we say about Michele & Adam….planning was a riot, and we miss you guys already!

We love learning new songs for our clients. How’s this for an awesome mother/son dance? The Curly Shuffle came out when Adam was a toddler, and it was played on the radio a lot. Whenever the song came on, Adam and his mom would dance around together, stoogeisms and all. Love it!

This crowd was here to dance, and they sure did. Tim says it best: “I’m so glad we got this gig!” Check out some footage here:

When Michele’s dad asked us to play some Santana, we said “sure thing.” Our percussionist Joe brought a surprise guest who sat in with us for a couple of tunes. The surprise guest was Raul Rekow, conguero for Carlos Santana’s band from 1976-2013. Yes, you read that correctly. PHENOMENAL.

Michele’s dad is a huge music fan and, along with the Artistrings String Quartet + Trumpet, played for their ceremony, but we also got him up to sing a little something towards the end of the night. Fortunately, he’s not shy 🙂

A couple more requests….Barry sounds amazing on Chicago’s 25 or 6 to 4 and Vehicle. And, this is the only time we’ll ever say “more cowbell” and it’s not a joke.

The party was still going strong, so they asked us to stay and play a little longer, with the request that Raul join us for an encore of Oye Como Va. Check out the horn section (Mark, Brian, and Henry) taking solos here:

Congratulations to Adam & Michele!!

P.S. What do you think of our new look?

The Ritz Carlton

Stacey & Simeon’s wedding was pure joy — for everyone involved. We’re still smiling 🙂

Artistrings pop string quartet entertained during cocktail hour with the newest tunes from Imagine Dragons, Katy Perry, Coldplay and Lorde. We opened the ballroom for dinner to the impact of the full band, and check out what happened:

Stacey’s mom sent this a few weeks after the wedding:

Hi Chris & Carol,
What can I say! The most wonderful music we had at our daughter’s wedding!!!! People are still talking about you both and all your members! What a joy!

Congratulations to all!!

We had a blast working with Daphne & Brett on their beautiful wedding in the Michigan Room at the University Club. Artistrings String Quartet set the mood with all of their favorite pop tunes at Wrigley Square in Millennium Park for the ceremony, and Daphne made her entrance to Jack Johnson’s Better Together. A perfect choice!

If you’re wondering what a dance party feels like with about 100 guests, check out this video clip. We absolutely love it!

Road trip!! Playing for an amazing family is always an amazing experience, and this was certainly no exception. From their beautiful ceremony at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Carmel, IN through the very last dance of their reception at the Omni Severin, this was a celebration to remember.

And then we started dancing in the adjacent room. This first clip deserves to stand on its own. Check out grandma (age 94!) dancing with her grandson/brother of the groom. LOVE.

Pritzker Pavilion, Millennium Park

One of the most stunning venues in the city — most people don’t get the privilege of seeing Millennium Park from the stage of Pritzker, so this was a special treat. Fantastic!

Artistrings set an elegant, classical mood for the gorgeous ceremony, with music by Puccini, Bach, Debussy, and Lakme.

We transitioned to the cocktail hour with strolling violins and jazz standards. Once dancing started, Annali, Mark, and their guests dance ALL night long. Such a pleasure to work together with Linda from Liven It Up Events!

Thank you Annali for this 5-star review on Yelp!

The number one comment from guests about our reception….”OMG, where did you find that band! They were incredbile!!” I think that says it all! Chris was great to work with and very accommodating. He really wanted to ensure the music reflected our style. Everyone was on the dance floor from the first song to the very end. Chris really knows how to engage the crowd.
