Chicago Rock String Quartet Plays Tom Sawyer – Rush

Tuesday evening cocktails and Rush with the Artistrings rock string quartet. We’re in! (I can confirm that we each needed a cocktail after recording our individual parts on this one – whew.) Benton Wedge really outdid himself with this epic arrangement of a landmark Rush song. Heads turn every single time we play this one, and for good reason. How often do you see a string quartet playing Rush, right? Maybe we’ll do another soon. Any requests? Hit us up with a message.

We’ve been having a lot of fun with small intimate micro weddings. The weather has been nice and we’re taking advantage of being able to perform outdoors in the open air. String quartet is a beautiful ensemble for a micro wedding, with versatility from classical music to pop and, as you see here, rock.

Carol Kalvonjian & Katherine Hughes, violins

Benton Wedge, viola & arranging

Matthew Agnew, cello

Artistrings recording individually from our homes during COVID-19.

We’ll see y’all next week with another idea!
